    quick update.  My MES 40's inaugural smoke was some bone-in country spare ribs this evening.  Boy do I love this smoker, so easy and such great results.  Using one of Todd's a-maze-n devices (AMNPS) is a must, it's just so load and go and provides the right amount of smoke.  Here's a qQview. ...

    MES owners - question about your door seal

    Agreed.  I purchased an MES 40 from Sam's last week and used it for the first time tonight.  The door seal did not leak during pre-seasoning or during the smoke.  That should not happen. Good luck with the new seal. Mike

    Anyone know of any problems with the Masterbuilt offices?

    I called yesterday to order a retro chip tray and was on hold for 45 minutes then hung up to do something else.  The phone was constantly busy for the next hour, then another 25 minutes on hold before someone finally answered.  The chip trays are still on back order.  Good luck contacting...

    Thanks for the additional validation. I pulled the trigger today and picked up the MES 40 from SAM's today. YEA!!!   I also ordered the AMNPS ansd lots of pellets from Todd yesterday.  Setup is put off until the xmas decorations are all up :-)  Mike

    $75, you know how to hurt a guy :-)  To Barflyngrill:  I hope to purchase a 3 year warranty if Sam's still offers it.  Then I get a new one in 2 1/2 years.

    Thanks everyone, I appreciate the validation and the wife is also in agreement which never hurts.  So off to Sams Club after the holiday to get the MES 40 and I'll post a few pics after the first smoke.  Probably a butt or a briskett, not sure which order. Enjoy your Thanksgiving, Mike
