I have those and have never used them. I almost always wind up cooking on the middle racks and just putting my drip pans on the main rack. Keeps everything very clean, but I am rarely cooking enough to fill my 1050.
I got a bunch of the LSS parts from my 1050, definitely recommend the fire box insert and lid cover.
Not sure if the manifold cover is necessary on newer models, but that is a must have on the older models.
Some of the others are nice to have, but less of a must have in my opinion.
Ever have one of those weekends with maybe a little too much Q? Had a buddy and his wife staying with me this weekend. They love bbq, so when they stay it is the focal point of the menu...
Friday night was ribs, and of course I smoked way too many. Saturday for lunch was an all you can eat...
I didn't even wind up going to the show and I live 15 min from the convention center, and work 7 minutes from the convention center.
Saw a photo on the Wednesday on LinkedIn of someone, and the Digital Projection booth was in the background. And it was the same booth they've been using for...
Well thank you sir. I will say I played a relatively significant role in one attraction out there.
I am generally always a bit hesitant to take too much credit as even in just the attraction I was involved with there are hundreds of people that have put in effort, and a good many of those...
Welcome, I hope we'll see you around here for quite a while.
I have a 1080, which is one of the big brothers of the 560. I put a hickory split vertical in the charcoal hopper and surround it with charcoal. When I am loading up for a smoke I put a little bit of charcoal in as a base layer...
I don't have experience with either of these, however I did a lot of of research before selecting the Koda 2. I was debating between a multi fuel option and propane only. Something about the idea of a wood fired pizza really, really attracted me to the multi fuel option. So down the rabbit...
My wife and kids leave Thursday for their summer, I join them a few weeks later, so it’ll just be me for Father’s Day.
I’ll be enjoying the quiet, a good steak, and a good whisky.
I used to work on ships a long time ago. From 2006-2015 I was involved in about a dozen Newbuild ship projects and another dozen or so refits.
I went on my first cruise as a passenger over new years this last holiday season. Had a great time. Finally been away from the industry long enough that...
Between the two you linked I think I’d go with the solo stove option based solely on temperature. The solo stove reaches 950 while the Blackstone model reaches 800. For a dedicated pizza oven I’d want something more than 800.
They both look to cook about the same size pizza. The turning stone...
