how do i clean up smoker?

My Smoke Hollow electric was pretty grimy, racks and  all. Got out the pressure washer and cleaned completely. let it dry and coated with oil, then smoked. No adverse effects noticed. If not right, please correct me.

    Finally Smoked That Brisket!

Thanks for everyones reply and good words! I will now have the confidence to do it again and adjust temp and try to wrap earlier. It is one thing to read about how to do it and another to actually do it. It takes practice, like anything in life! Happy smoking!

    Finally Smoked That Brisket!

Forgot to post pic after taking out of cooler after resting 2 3/4 hrs. On the other the other pics does the portion sliced from the flat look a little lean?

    Finally Smoked That Brisket!

Had that Cotsco 12# plus Brisket trimmed down of top fat and hard fat in the point. I figure about 2 1/2 + of trimmings. So call it about 10# going in the Smokey Mountain Electric. After seasoning overnight, put that baby on about midnight Friday evening. Tried to maintain temp 225° - 250°...

    Trimmed Brisket

Ok, got that brisket at Cotsco, 12 lb. trimmed about 3+ lbs hard fat and and fat on top. I understand the smoking time-1 - 1 1/2 hour per # on average ( rely on tenderness and temp 200 degrees). Should I plan for a 8 # packer and plan to smoke which should be about 12 hours? Also I have been...

    First Brisket Smoke

Ok pressure is on. Bought a Smoke Hollow Electric last year, smoked some ribs and chicken. Got that down OK. Now my challenge. Never smoked a brisket before - did one in oven a couple of times, nice and tender, tasted great. Opened my mouth and said I would smoke one for younger daughters...

    Oven Roasted Brisket

Wife does not like heavy smoke flavor, really can't spend 7-8 hrs on smoking all day, suggested 2 hrs per lb. I have Smoke Hollow 30in electric. One other question-tried cooking a turkey breast on turkey day. applied rub night before-check, got 4 briquets going, added wood chips-apple and...
