    Walnut -- is it a good wood for smoking?

    I see on the list on one of the above posts ,  cedar is listed as a NOT to use wood. Then why do some restaurants do cedar plank salmon?   was wanting to try this but a little nervous now.              Thanks Kevin

    Hi Gang! I recently changed jobs, (within last year) and have found extra time as I dont work 60 + hours anymore. I ve always wanted to learn to grill and smoke meat better. I love to fish and hunt and photography is also  a passion. I look forward to enteracting with the group.
