    First RF Build. Excited!

Doodle: thank you for the info on blasting off the paint/epoxy!! It is quite thick and I was wondering how to remove it. I have torches and also a propane torch that I use to start fires with, but it seems like that would take a long time. And grinding??? heck no! I will get it blasted. What...

    First RF Build. Excited!

Mine's made out of the same material as yours, pretty much. Before you get too far look into having that epoxy blasted off. It won't burn well, and will take somewhat longer than forever to grind off...it sort of melts and moves around. It's a great size to work with though!

I want to build my first smoker

Agree with above...projects get cheaper when you've accumulated tools and excess materials from previous jobs...otherwise it's pretty much never ending and lots of compromises if you're looking for "cheap". Vogelzang has a Kit for a double barrel smoker, but even that is more than shopping for a...

    New from Michigan

Welcome... IMO, you pretty much have to foil if you want time predictability....I have a warmer, so I guess that makes it easier to hold stuff. Anyway, where 'bouts in GR?

    Trailer Rig Help

I'd certainly burn it out...compressed air will typically have some oil in it. Someone here can probably point you at a design that's worked. That's a great start for a rig though!

First Reverse Flow build and had questions

Odd size...a picture might help on that one. I'm thinking you might not get enough velocity for a RF to work right.

PLANNING FIRST BUILD ( PICS NOW INCLUDED )

No earthly clue, but it does add up. Based on the BOLs from my steel, as well as calculating the pipe wt (google), I was north of 1600#. Don't think you'd regret the tandem, ESP if you'll be working on it for the stability.

    250L build - now a 35? gallon build

Late to the party, but I'd have to agree that you flow is somewhat compromised if you're getting smoke from your upper FB vent. I can "make" mine do that if I close my cc chimney before opening my warmer (effectively auxiliary) chimney. You must be close though, so Dave's suggestion seems like...

I close mine in the door (bottom edge)

    60 gallon RF build

My chimney is welded to the top...not in the cc as well, and it operates quite nicely. Have fun with your build!

    250L build - now a 35? gallon build

Famous last words indeed! There's a never ending process of tweaks, add ons and adjustments, but it doesn't mean you won't be cooking soon! Looks great!

    My first RF Piggy

Looks great! Too bad my youngest loves pigs...I could never get away with that...as it is, I tell her she gets the pulled turkey when I do a shoulder!

Don't know anything about cold smoking, but that looks sharp!

    Big baby build

I sold mine before I corrected that and did exactly what you did. A simple spinner on the opposite side would work nicely, I'd think.
