My first ever smoke today. Masterbuilt XL gasser with mesquite chunks. About ninety minutes in. Trying to hold about 275F. Texas BBQ Original Rub and apple juice in the chicken cans.

About three hours in.

Had to tweak temps a little now and then but stayed pretty steady. I don't have an ET732 yet so went by time and cut when finished to be sure. First bird just a little underdone so we microwaved the pieces before eating. Left the second on a little longer and it came out just about right.

Birds are finished.

Sam's Club called theses CSR's. We like the results on the CSR's better than the chickens.

And I hope this is a little of the "smoke ring" you all are talking about.  We like the results and now we are looking forward to what we might be smoking next weekend. I guess the wife and I are hooked already. Thanks for the info all over this site that has helped us and the replies to my earlier question and intro posts. Onward
