Thanks to everyone. My wife, who is a very picky eater, liked it quite a bit and my 10 year old said it tasted a lot like ribs without the big bone in it.
I know I'm firing up the grill tomorrow and maybe i can find another pork butt (larger of course) to smoke. I've already got some turkey legs to go on the grill. I've got to find something to accompany the turkey legs. Of course, i'm out of the store bought rub so I'll have to buy Jeffs rub to make it all come together nicely.
I'll post some pics tomorrow. I expect i can find some good meat deals if i get to the store early. Hope I'm not too late. Greg
You won't be disappointed with Jeff's rub. It is wonderful on butt. Slather it with mustard and then give it a coating of the rub. Nothing too thick, but enough to change the color of the mustard to a nice copperish tone. Of course, I speak of this from my personal preference. You might prefer more or less spice.
