Smoking my first brisket on the Yoder today at my wife's request. Poor me. Also my first chance to use the new maverick 735, which has been great thus far.

The beef seasoned with salt, pepper, garlic, onion, and pepe (Nigerian spice)

Great looking hunk of beef.  Nice smoker too.

Is it dinner yet?  Take plenty of pictures.   (Of the beef and the smoker).

Best brisket I have ever done. Followed the method taught by Aaron Franklin in his videos on YouTube and used a modified version of his rub, it was equal parts salt and pepper with some garlic and onion powder and a spice I brought from Nigeria called pepe for a touch of heat and total uniqueness. Awesome!

Here is a gratuitous shot of the Yoder.

How do you like the yoder? I'm about to pull the trigger on one.

I'm more in love with it than a ragging hormones teenage girl is at a Bieber concert. Best smoker/grill I have ever owned. You will not regret it.

If you ever had a ragging hormones teenage girl, you would regret that statement..
Yep.... going through that phase now..
But. That brisket looks dam good. :points:

Wow, that looks good. My next cook is gonna be brisket on my WSM. I thought about getting a yoder for my dad. Sure sounds and looks like it smokes very well but how does it grill?

I grilled my first steaks the other night, and they were amazing. Set temp to 600 and put the grill grates in. Sears like a boss.

Great looking brisket. There is the same Yoder on Craigslist about an hour and half drive from here. My smoker buying addiction is kicking in hard. Just think the wife would divorce me for even thinking about it haha.
