I just received a steel pig and two chrome spring handles for the ol' CG. I can't help myself... I'm addicted to smokin' and tinkerin'!!

I figured the pig will fill in the hole where the old temp guage is (soon to be was). It came unpainted, so I'm gonna paint it with hammered silver.

The spring handles are to replace the crappy wood ones that are on the lids now. I just need to stop at the hardware to pick up some 1/2" round stock to mount them.

Okay, got me on a technicality... cosmetic mods then.

The wooden handles on the CG were crappola at best, especially the one on the SFB lid... it was cracked and splitting badly. This is a 6" chrome spring handle with a 7/16-14 threaded rod through the middle and two nuts at either end. I drilled out the holes in the brackets, then flipped them 180*... that worked perfectly!

So, here's a shot of one of them before my camera died. I attempted to take more, but this camera is a DOA POS!

BTW, I got the piggy mounted too... where the old temp guage used to be. Bling.
