Ok, so I've gone a bit crazy with this, but I took pictures of the assembly process for my new WSM.

Here's everything out of the box. Notice my little helper...

Here's one tip I'll share. The instructions tell you to try to connect the legs to the ash pan before bolting the legs to the bottom. I tried twice and each time I attempted to bolt on the legs, they all fell over.

I bolted the legs to the bottom loosely and then put the ash pan on:

Two sets of bolts, nuts and washers per leg:

Here's a view through the door with the water pan in place (I can see why people complain about not being able to add coals to the other side easily):

All done and little helper approved!

So there you have it. If I would have put the legs on as I mentioned in my tip instead of following the directions, I would have been done in ~15 minutes even with taking pictures.

This is my compensation QView for not being able to do an actual smoke for a few days.

As always, thanks for looking.

I was able to pick up a single fire poker for my Char Griller 6 or 7 weeks ago. Don't know why they only had the poker. (They don't sell them as singles. You have to buy the little shovel, Poker, Little Broom & holder as a set.) That is what I use if I need to move things around a bit while smoking. The other side is a bit difficult to get fuel to if you don't load it with enough on the first go 'round. I can't wait to see your reaction to your first smoke.

If you think that is huge, you should really see the 22.5 WSM.

Yeah you can fit the 18" WSM inside the 22.5" WSM. I could barely fit the 22.5" WSM in its box into the back of my minivan with the rear seat folded down, sucker was huge!

Nice assembly, look forward to the que!

One man's toolbox is another man's seat! LOL

I love that box. My in-laws gave it to me for my birthday a few years ago and I use it as much as I can. It was the closest thing I could find to sit on...I was too excited to find a real chair.

congrats Indy..U are gonna love it !!!! I couldn't be happier... Although the fact that i'm selling my Lang is starting to set in

I hear ya Rick.My issue was the overnite smokes where i had to put another piece of wood in every 30 minutes...Until i bought the lang and started doing that, i had forgotten how old i was and how much sleep i needed..
