My first shot at makin both.

I used Discos post    http://www.smokingmeatforums.com/t/166936/teriyaki-wings-with-a-nod-to-scarbelly

The injection recipe.

Injected.

And resting in the fridge.

While they were resting it was o-ring time.

Followed this post.  ( Thats right, I copied everything for this cook )   http://www.smokingmeatforums.com/t/...cken-open-face-sammies-happy-monday-everybody

Swimming in the liquid for a bit.

Weather not looking so good.

The chicken and rings soaked for about 2 hours.

Cooking the rings.

Powder mix.

In the fryer, remember not to crowd them.

I forgot pics of the chicken cooking, but here they are done.

I used the mini with lump and no diffuser.  Mini ran about 350-400.

I seared them after they got to 165 IT.

And my supper.

Thanks for lookin.

You have passed the recipe creator. The sear gave those wings a great colour. As for the onion rings, stupendous. One of the best chef's I ever met said the secret to a great meal isn't a great dish, it is a great plate. Wings and rings are a great combination.

I keep learning from you efforts!

Thanks Disco.

I wanted to sear to make sure the skin was right.
