Wings and Venison Roast

  1. Here's the players!
    Injection: honey garlic rub mixed in a local winter ale and local maple syrup
    Rub: Webers Honey Garlic rub
    Smoke: mesquite

    I also threw in a brined venison roast then rubbed with Billbo's rub recipe, wrapped it in bacon, then a little more rub. My first attempt at smoking...we'll see how it goes!

  3. Roast in at 250 degrees, I figure in 2 hours I'll foil it and throw the wings on...

  5. Coming along nicely...added some peppers stuffed with homemade italian sausage.
     
  6. It is starting to get smoke nice color.

  7. Everything turned out well...the peppers were especially good!

    The only way to improve this meal is to invite a Fat Old Canadian to tell stories while he eats your great food. Just saying.

    That venison looks excellent as do the other goodies !
