Hey everyone. I am getting close to starting work on my first smoker. It will be a R.F. that i am planning on making from a 250 gallon propane tank( that is the last thing i am trying to find for it). Anyway i picked up a trailer a couple of weeks ago. It used to be a pop up camper trailer that only had the sides left on it. So my buddy and i tore off the sides and the wood decking that was left and grinded off the decking screws. Besides for just a little surface rust, the trailer and frame seem to be in solid shape. My question is, is there a way for me to be able to find out what the maximum weight for this trailer is. The guy that sold it to us lost the registration so we cant go off of that. I dont have a picture of it on my computer yet but i will be posting one soon. Thank you.

a 250 gallon tank weighs 700 lbs on average, figure maybe another couple hundred in the firebox and grates and such, depending on the pop up they usually run 1500 to 4000 lbs total so you should be fine even if it was a smaller popup.
