Wild boar

I was roaming around in the freezer and found two pieces of wild boar that seemed perfect for a quick bbq

Not sure exactly what parts they are. Only marked bbq-pices... the bigger one looked like the roll part of the pork chop (not surr of the name in english) in sweden called the bogus name "outer fillet".

Anywho... garlic marinade spiced up with extra sage.

High direct grill for starters and after that indirect until medium-well

Wow did you get lucky.  I believe those to be pork backstraps!   In the store in the US I believe they would be labled pork loin... the big ones.  Not to be confused with the tenderloin that comes from the inside cavity of the pig.

I bet they tasted awesome, good job!

And just to clarify - it was my own freezer:)
My fiancee was at a bridal shower where they butchered a wild boar hence the uncertainty about which part it was. Thanks for your help with identifying it. It tasted great! Just on the right side of pink!

Tell you what ... them are nice ... cut me 3 pieces in the am,with 3 over easy eggs,and a piece of toast, coffee, cream only !!!!
