who wants some pecan?

i'm willing to trade box for box. will use the priority mail large flat rate box ($14.50 as long as it's less that 70 lbs. i was good with legos as a kid and could prolly fit a fair amount of weight in there.). i would like some sugar maple, cherry, or any fruit wood really.

woods i don't need: mesquite, hickory, oak, pecan.

I'd like to...but all i have access to is sugar maple right now. I will have cherry after this weekend (cutting a HUGE cherry for firewood this weekend). Wont be seasoned though. Is that a deal breaker?

unfortunately, we don't have any smoking wood growing up here, except the occasional apple or maple tree in someone's yard, and it probably wouldn't do to be crawling around their yard at night with a saw. with that in mind, all of my smoking wood comes out of a bag that i bought at wal-mart, k-mart etc.

most of the trees up here are cottonwood and aspen or versions of pine/spruce - none of which are good for smoking. also a lot of trees such as russian olive and willows and, in people's yards ash.

but, if you'd be willing to send a tightly-packed box of pecan up, i'd be willing to pay the 14.50$ for shipping! i'd love to give it a try.

ok...ok. i've got plenty of responses and i'm working out the details. anymore responses and i'm gonna be spending the next few weekends cutting, packing and shipping wood intsead of smoking.
