Which pellet addition should I get, tube or tray?

I have a Master Forge two door propane smoker from Lowe's. I've had it for almost two years now and I am getting ready for another graduation party smoke.  I've been looking at using pellets with either a 12" tube or one of the square trays that A-Maze-N-Products sells.

So which would be better, a tube or one of the pans they sell?

I have an MES 40m and I use the 5 X 8 AMNPS, because the Tube seems to put out too much smoke for that smoker.

The AMNPS won't work very well in a propane smoker but the Tube has been showing very good results in propane smokers.

I have the same smoker, I run sand in my water pan, covered with foil. I have had success using my AMNPS in it by placing it on top of the water pan. It's far enough from the heat source that it won't burn up your pellets.

I've used all three amazens(dust maze, pellet maze and the new pellet tube) in my Masterbuilt ExWide. So far my favorite has been the tube (18" model) which gives me plenty of even smoke for this box for a good 4-6-plus hours.

Amazen Pellet- Does the job well but more difficult to keep lit...

The Amazen dust also works great but compare to the other two, it is much more difficult keeping it lit in the propane MB X-wide.

I pulled the trigger and went with a 12" tube and some hickory and apple pellets.
