With Christmass comming up I'd like to drop some hints to the wife for a slicer. Are there any good ones out there around 200$ ? It will be strictly for home use.

Hi Mike. I bought a ten inch slicer from Sausagemaker.com a couple of years ago.. I make a lot of bacon and smaller slicers couldn't do the job. THis slicer has but one plastic part, the handle, is easier than most to clean, and works flawlessly. At $400 it busts your budget. Maybe thier 9" would suit. It's $195. Good luck.
