Audio engineer, production manager. Split my 21 years of work between producing large corporate meetings/trade shows and touring rock and roll sound man. Off the road now and working for a small production house and helping the wife get her biz off the ground (she's a corporate meeting planner-wanna guess where we met?).

Interesting post, shellbellc. It takes a special kind of person (female) to go through the USMC training. I am a former Marine myself. Our lives are intertwined with patriotism, service to our communities, loyalty to our families, and steadfast friendships. We are skilled in many things and love life in general. I also have some time in the US Army Reserve National Guard.... Mother of three beautiful daughters who share the same basic ideals as I do. Couldn't ask for more in life. Semper Fi

I used to program IBM Mainframe Assembler but now I am involved in Business Analyst which concentrates on the process more than the actual application. Strange occupation for me as I am about as hillbilly as it gets. My father and Grand pappy were both union pipefitters but I didn't want to be broke down in the back by 65. Working well for me so far!!!!

Grandparent of three. OH! Wrong profession?

Self employed. Linda and I own a business called The Monogram Shoppe.

A storefront screenprint, embroidery and promotional products distributer. Retail as well as contract garment decorator. The store has been open for 25 years which we have owned for 15. Long hours but we love the friendships we have made with our customers.

We bought the business after many years of me traveling all over as a central US sales manager for a fortune 100 corp. When your kids ask when your going to come to one of their games a high paying job isn't important any longer. They are now grown with children and the grandkids love to visit grandma and papas shoppe.

Great thread!!! So many interesting occupations!!!
