I'm trying to build a home built smoker. just got a new welder now I just need to start collecting parts. what is the best kind of tank to use for a decent thickness for my smoker build?

Think about having NEW steel rolled to the size you want and have some cut for the firebox.... That will save you MANY hours and it's easier to work with... assemble and weld.... no cutting, grinding, cleaning out the tank....... Just a thought....

how cost-effective would that be? would there be a big difference what would it cost to do that. rough estimate? Say i want 2- 120gal size Chambers ish?
