I have images for my first attempt at ribs, my first whole chicken, smoked salmon filet, and a recipe with image for smoked tomato soup with basil oil topping (I'm smoking the tomatoes as I write this at the same time as the smoked salmon).

I have photoshop, and can send these images at any size.  What is customary to go with text?

Medium is always good...but if there are a bunch...choose the small...and the members can click on them and make them bigger.

Thanks, Kat.  And much appreciated.  Could you put a pixel count (or size in inches width x height) to what you are designating as "medium"?  If not, I'll wing it.

Hey Julian, 600X800 is usually a good size pic for photos on forums. You don't want something so big it takes a long time for the page to load or so small you can't really see it.

Upload them at full size. The forum software resizes the preview image to one of 3 sizes which you choose, either small medium or large, to be displayed in the body of the post. When someone clicks on the image, they are given the option to view a larger image, and then if the original is larger than the screen size, to zoom in to original resolution. If you downsize the image before uploading you're taking away the option to zoom in, which might upset one very hungry Bear in PA.

Thank you Dave, and Mdboatbum.  Now I understand what Cat meant by small, medium, or large.  I would assume that Dave's 600 x 800 would more or less come in as "medium".  Much appreciated!

Julian

Yea I don't really get it, the forum software has 3 sizes but sometimes I see pics on here that are HUGE, like they take the whole width of the screen. I don't know how people are posting them that big. That's why I said 600X800 because I thought maybe you had a way of putting any size you want on here.

If you bypass the forum upload process and insert html tags for an image hosted elsewhere, you can display whatever size you want in the body of the post.

I can't remember how to do that, however, as it's been a long time.

I copy and paste from my website and it appears the same exact size as on my website.
