What is everyone smoking or grilling for Mothers day?

    Good morning!!
    In my weber 14.5 I'm smoking a 9lb Boston butt marinated in mojo. So far I'm about 2 hours in. I will definitely post pics when I get a chance

    Mom wants chicken so I have a gallon ziplock of teriaki wings marinading, another of drumsticks which I'm going to do lolly pop style and another of thighs that will be in my Southwest jerk sauce here in a few when I find my recipe. Going to have all the smokers going tomorrow morning.

    SLC Ribs (2 racks) and 12 boneless, skinless chicken thighs.  Using a mix of hickory and white oak. 
     
  5. Small get together at my place this year.  I put 2 racks of spare ribs on the grill about 30 minutes ago.  Grilling up a few hot dogs for my wife and the kids later.

  7. Cliff, how do you get the cheese to melt like that? My parents have their own smoker but I will be making my first attempt at pork shoulder tomorrow. It's all rubbed down and waiting in the 'fridge.

    I put the cheese on with the burger still on the grill, when it begins to melt I take the burger off the grill.

    Two ready to come off-


    Yes I do the bacon on the grill, too. Just keep it over a foil pan and away from the coals.

    Saw your post after I posted mine, yard bird leg quarters for Momma, 2 trays of Ga dry rub and 1 marinated with Hoisin and Fish Oil...

    Was not able to fire up the TBS this Mom's Day as I was on call with work & not home ! But discussing the menu for next weekend for a belated smoke for my Wife & Mom !
