what internal temp should i pull fattie

    Have had a fattie in for about 2-3/4 hrs internal temp is 174 when should i pull. thank you

    I pull them at 160 personally

    160-165 for me

    well i just pulled it it was at 178 i hope it aint ruined it looks good though. ill post some picks in a little bit.

    kinda depends on what is in the inside...........165 for previously cooked and cooled foods like yesterdays chix/potatoes/chinese food etc.

    Minimum 160 internal. I've forgot about them and let them get much higher and they turned out fine. Hard to hurt a fatty.

    thanx guys, i pulled at 178 and i thought it would be ruined after reading the replys but it turned out delicious, next time i think ill put it in the oven to crisp up the bacon.

    That works but remember to pull it even earlier to allow for the cooking in the oven... I use extremely thin bacon on mine, crisps up good on the smoker...Happy smokes [​IMG]
