Since it is prime season to make sausage I thought it would be interesting to share pictures of what the SMF members sausage making faciltys look like.

We do all of our stuff in the garage (wish we had running water out there), here are a couple pics of the garage set up for making sausage this next coming weekend. In the pic's you can see I took them while my wife was weighing out hi-temp cheese for each different sausage we are making. Also is our 25 lb Sausagemaker stuffer, #32 meat grinder powered by a 3/4 horse motor, 44 lb meat mixer and we also have an oven in the garage for finishing sausage after it is smoked so we can switch to the oven to finish and start smoking another batch in the smoker.

This year I am also making up a 25 lb batch of venison bacon for a friend using elk instead so that will be interesting (I have used venison and buffalo before, but not elk). He brought me the meat tonight and left us 4 additional elk roasts for ourselves so I may need ideas from the SMF crew on how to make them?

Another friend purchased a Bradley smoker and wants me to season it this weekend and smoke a little meat in it, so that will be interesting as I have never used a Bradley before.

Besides deer hunting opener, this is my favorite weekend of the year !!! I am really looking forward to seeing other members set ups for ideas for ours.

Mines just about the size of my cutting board - just a little smaller, and the overflow goes on my stove and in the sink. Small kitchen!

Here are a couple other pics from different angles -

Here is a rafter shot I think cowgirl will appreciate -

Very nice Bill; I admit it with personal plans... I am moving 5 hours away from where I am now and will be switching my set up. We are moving in the summer.

Yours look awesome, congrats !!!

I am moving 26 miles north of Minot, ND; in the summer; my backyard will be bullalo pastrure (Under 50 yards away....). Deer, pheasants, cottontail, jack rabbits and a "few" coyotes inhabit the area. I have a few dens that are established and yearly marked. Amonst raccoon, lynx, mountain lion, and raccons... I will be living my dream (I hope).

I would love to see your set up in person..... very nice !!!!

I am unsure of your question later but I am moving West despite many others telling to do differently; they say just stay.

I feel my wife and I will have more oppurtunity's with our backgrounds on the other side of the state and also have additional things to contribute on that side of the ste.

You are always welcome to visit if you get in our area (Fargo) before July; after that you are more than welcome when we have our home established just south of the Canadian border !!!

Nice setups guys....

Mines just my kitchen and back porch area..... But it works and thats all that matters....

So Mossy you'll be moving to my neck of the woods..... Hope the move goes good for you.....

Marty,
You will be closer to me, once I get moved out to Montana, Only a month and a week or two to go, I bought 23 acres and I am putting up a 28 X 40 polebarn that I will dedicate a 14 x 15 area for my food processing area, Hopefully, I will have it all done before next fall.

Danny

Let's see some more pictures guys, I need ideas for my room
