I made some baby back ribs on the smoker yesterday to have for supper when company came over.

I made a couple of changes to the way I did the ribs including not putting the barbecue sauce on the meat, just a dry rub and apple juice while cooking. I let the individual put on their own sauce.

I also only cooked them for 4 hours rather than the usual 6.

Both of of guests tasted the ribs at the same same time and together yelled OH MY GOD these are good. These are the best ribs I have ever had.

What a great feeling.

Indeed it is a great feeling when guests clamor over the fruits of our labor! Well done!

I can't agree more! I live alone and I will cook stuff and take it to all my neighbors just so it doesn't go to waste! They all love it when they see the smoker firing up, cuz they know they are getting dinner! It's fun to feed your pals, and even more fun when they really enjoy it!

Yes there's not a better feeling when you see the reaction of folks when they try your food for the first time. I think it's good but thats me. Now I could only wish we lived closer there squirrel for you have put out some fine food lately.

TMS - I love that quote about the slinkies! LOL! There are a few folks I wouldn't feel too guilty about if I "accidently" pushed them down the steps!

One other thing that I love is when people taste my food for the first time, and if they don't know me I guess I don't look like the type person that can cook (dumb blonde thing maybe?) That surprised look on their face when they realize it's actually pretty good stuff!
