The tomato plants are finally growing and I've cut the grass twice already, so I guess it is officially summer

I have been mulling what to cook on the ECB this weekend and I bought a small pack of chicken thighs to throw on and I hate to leave all that open room so I decided to smoke up a pot of chili. Anyone else smoking this week or weekend?

If you haven't made smoked Chili you are really missing out. Just use an aluminum pan and use the same recipe as you would in a crock pot or on the stove and the flavor will be amazing. I usually make up a double batch with a pound of ground beef and some beef cubes of whatever I can find. Sometimes some left over pulled pork hunks wind up in there as well.

I will probably fire up the smoker on Friday night and I will follow up with some Q-View!

Anyone else? Let's compare notes!

The menu for Sunday is still up in the air, my wife is leaning toward steaks, my son mentioned Luther Burgers( for the uninitiated that's a bacon cheeseburger on a glazed donut), I can't decide between pulled chicken, brats and more burnt ends.

We are having chicken pasta salad as a side. I'll post whatever we do.

Hey cliffcarter, I think there is probably enough room for a bit of all that? Don't forget the lower rack, lol. I think I am going to start a post this weekend of just a qview challenge. No words, only qview.

So much I'd like to smoke, so little time....sigh
