I have been smoking meats for about 15 years using my 20" weber cylinder. I've replaced the water pan twice now. I have finally upgraded to an Oklahoma Joe Longhorn offset smoker last month. Have smoked brisket, ribs and pork shoulder and just love it. I've done some initial gasketing around the doors and am planning some big mods to cut and weld so I can make this into a reverse flow smoker.

Once I get going on this project I will be sure to post pics and results.

Thanks All,

Ray from Chicago

Welcome to the board, Ray!

Sometimes it seems a Weber is the "gateway drug" to the hobby of smoking. I grew up with one as a kid, I learned smoking with a legless one sitting in a wheel rim like a ball in a socket, and I still have one on the patio now.

Hey Ray, Hello and welcome from East Texas.
