North Augusta SC and Deland FL
My name is Dan. I found this site a while back while searching the internet in attempt to advance my meat skills from weekend smoker to a committed passionate meat enthusiast. My family and I recently moved to North Augusta SC from Deland FL and had a newborn girl along with an 8 year old daughter.  My smoking experience has been on a char broil propane smoker with hickory, cherry, mesquite, and apple wood chunks and chips and I've had many successful smokes with whole chickens, brisket, butts and beef and ribs. I recently acquired an electric smoker built from a food warmer cabinet. My plan is to advance onto summer sausages, bacon, cured hams and dab into some cold smoking. I will be checking out some ideas to remodel the smoker into exactly what I want and need but I have to figure that part out first and thats where you all come in. Looking forward to some good reads and tasty results.

Dan,
Welcome, from southern Ohio, to the best forum on the internet if you are looking to learn how to BBQ/smoke/brine/cure/inject. Well you get the picture if you can do it to something you put on a plate to eat then someone here has probably done it then smoked it. Use the search bar at the top of the page and you will be led to the answer to most every question you can think of. If you don't find the answer there then just post it and someone will chime in with their opinion on the subject.

Just in case you were wondering how this site works.
Here is a link to a FAQ for the site.
