Hello,

Tried by new grill Weber spirit e310.

I just did two cooks. First was great...I cooked chicken drums, pork rib country style...cooked medium flame and 3 burner.

Tried same thing next day when it was raining a bit....took forever! Even in high flame.

Is this normal?...since grill ain't covered...

Also, how can I add smoke flavor by adding
Wood chips? Is there a way?

Thx much
Kris

The rain shouldn't have made difference with a gas grill. All of the Spirit 310's I've seen have a lid, does yours not?

What was your pit temp? Are you sure you had the fuel supply open all the way?

Yes you can add chips or chunks for smoke. Make an open pouch out of foil with the chips or chunks in there. Set close to burner so that the wood will smolder in the pouch.
