Hey fellow UDSer's,

Just wanted to share a mod I just finished on my UDS. I think you'll like it. I know I do and I haven't even used it yet...lol. Pulled pork this weekend though.

I can't weld either....lol. But I try. that's where the cheap HF welder and the putty come into play. I get the weld to hold, then cover the globs up with the putty to make it look nice.

The first smoke with the hinge and handle mod went very well. You wouldn't think it be a big deal just adding a hinge and handle but I wanted to make sure that I didn't add any unwanted air leaks in the lid and cause temp fluctuations. Did a 12lb butt that took 14 hours and it held a constant 240°. Very happy with it. I didn't get pics but my Mom did. So as soon as I get a copy I will post them up. Next up will be a paint job.
