I'm new here and to the smoking game. I recently bought a 22 inch Webber and gonna tempt my first shot at a rack of ribs. How much coal do I use? Supposed to be 225f? And how much wood? Thanks
Jack Al has you covered there. You can foil them after 3 hrs with a little Apple juice or beer for 2 more hrs. then uncover and back on the grill to finish.
I'd also look at doing a rotisserie kit for your kettle to cook things like ribs. Honestly it's as simple as seasoning, putting the ribs on and cooking until tender for the best ribs you'll ever know. You'll never need to foil them and they'll develop an glaze that'll blow your mind. They're called OctoForks and they replace the standard rotisserie forks.
So I'm smoking my 1st rack of ribs as we speak. I'm in the wrapping process n will shortly remove foil n leave for another hour. Mop every 15 min or so. I'm very excited to taste the outcome
