Guys wanted to share a little video I put together using my MES30. It's the first in a series I'm gonna do and thought some of you might enjoy it. We are doing a series on BBQ 101, using equipment that most folks can pick up and start smoking right away... Anyway, hope you enjoy.

    Thanks!

    Hi Craig

I watched it all the way through and thoroughly enjoyed it. You presented it well and the end sandwich looked great. I will certainly be giving those air chips a try.

Nice Job! Well thought out, presented and edited well. When I was younger and better lookin', I did TV demos for food segments for my local News program. I also spent 4 years on a Talk Radio show. Work on your Vocal Pauses, the dreaded Uuumm, as you quickly work out what to say next. I had the same issue in the beginning. They will wane as your confidence builds but you also need to practice talking without the vocal pause. Outline your talking points and memorize them so you can Flow from point to point without having to " Think " about what's next. Just like any teacher or public speaker, being Prepared shows you Know your Subject, can demonstrate Credibility and the viewer or listener can be confident they leared from a Pro. Keep up the good work and I look forward to the whole series!...JJ [IMG]

Thanks JJ, funny you should say that because as we were filming my dad, who was a professor for years said stop saying ummm.... It got in my head... The script of the show is something I am working on and agree with what you said... We are also working to get better shots of the process (closer camera to the food and so on) but it was a lot of fun and hope to help guys make great Q in the back yard.... again thanks for the insight....

LOL...Yep, since Dad taught, he too may have gone through the Vocal Pause in the early days and recognized it right away. Spent my best years as a Culinary Instructor. My first semester the Kids called me on the Ummm on their Instructor Review forms. They later joked with me that they weren't sure if I was Nervous or didn't know what I was talking about...[IMG]...JJ

Great video Craig.  I own a Smokin-it and a Cookshack but I can always use more good information and ideas.

Nice video!  I love my Pecan smoke. It's my favorite.  Lighter than hickory and a bit nutty.  I've got chunks for my Kamado, regular 100% pellets for the AMNPS/TS and Traeger pellets which is blended with Oak.
