So the wife and daughter were out at a friends which means I was alone for dinner. Had a nice porterhouse innthenfridge and decided what better time to feast on it.

Seasoned it with some Cooter Rub who h is nice and spicy. It's got chipotle pepper, garlic and a bunch of other spices...
Right over the vortex for about a minute and half per side:

Once I got a nice sear, I finished it indirect. The whole cook took about 8 minutes. Finished it want a blue cheese parsley butter I had made last week and threw in the freezer. And now the photos:

I can't say enough how much I love the vortex. I use it almost every cook now. Thanks for looking!

Looks great. I am using the vortex right now for wings

Thanks! Wings on the vortex are the best. I usually use a piece of Apple wood. The vortex is the greatest accessory in the history of grilling haha

Looks awesome, makes me wish I was alone for dinner!

Thanks! Rare occasion for me and my wife and daughter are not huge steak lovers so I decided it was the perfect opportunity.

Awesome looking steak Chris!!

Point!

Al

Thanks so much Al! I took advantage of a good sale, 5.77 for choice porterhouse. All of them had nice big pieces of tenderloin too. Got a bunch of them including some that are almost 2 inches thick. Definitely going to smoke and reverse sear those!

Now I am hungry. I have been debating whether or not to get a vortex. This settles the argument. You really cant beat that sear and grill marks.
