I am building a vertical smoker with a side firebox. Cook chamber is 120g propane tank, firebox is 25g airtank. Unit is going to have 4 inch pipe from firebox to cook chamber with 4 inch bypass pipe around cook chamber to exhaust with regulator/damper. Exhaust will be 4 inch out of garage. This is an inside garage smoker.

Firebox will be side loading, intake near bottom with grate, lump and/ or stick burner. Exhaust out top rear of firebox into bottom rear of cook chamber plus bypass pipe around to regulate heat/smoke. Baffle/diffuser in bottom smoker. Hoping for temp range between 130 for kielbasa and 275 for pork butts etc...

Gonna be a while until its done but here are pictures thus far

I like it and the Beer Cooler is close

Lol. You are very observant however I have provided a better picture of the cooler. Lol its always stocked and has a major contribution to the design.

Making progress on the side firebox. Eventually there will be a 4 inch pipe making a u turn out the back of firebox and into rear of smoker. I want the smoke path a little longer to have time to cool a bit. Making hinges for firebox door and hoping to finish intake today as well. We will see how it goes.
