I have been reading these forums for a while now, but havent posted.  I figured I would throw one up.  A good friend of mine who works for Brinkman out of Dallas got me hooked on smoking about 2 years ago.  He set me up with the ECB, and my waistline hasnt been the same since.

I am looking at an upgrade at this point because I need to smoke at least once a month.  During the winter months up here, the ECB wont cut it.  Its just hard as hell to maintain the heat.

I have been searching and searching and the best bang for my buck seems to be the Chargriller.  I would prefer to to stick with Charcoal (as I think I may be cut off if I go otherwise by my TX buddies).  Anyone have a better suggestion?  Similar price tag?

To this point I have fed a good portion of my family and anyone that has olfactory senses in about a 1 mile radius.  Typically its a shoulder, on some occasions baby backs, chicken, etc.  I really want to do a fatty and ABTs.

Thats about it.  The northerners are starting to creep into the smoking world...  I now have a buddy of mine hooked.  Great site by the way!
