I just got a call from my son who says it is sitting at 200 by the barrell therm nearly 24 hours later. Wow! I think I have enough fuel in there for a two day burn but I think I will shut it down tonight. I figure 24 hours is good for a seasoning run unless somebody here thinks differently

I shut it down last night about 9pm, it was still going strong. All in all, a 28 hour burn. I took a look this morning and I had burned through most of the fuel. I used Kingsford blue and was supprised at the amount of ash, less than I thought.

I want to thank everyone who has helped me out through my building process. Without this site I could not have done it! Thanks again! Qview to come soon I'm sure!

Great looking UDS. Good info on the seasoning burn, temps, fuel used. I hope to get mine finished up soon.

Sometimes other sites require you to use a 3rd party to store your pics and send them to their site.. those photos may be on photo bucket and we have to join to see? Or they got deleted? That person probably got deleted after not updating for a few months
