I have been trolling the boards for a while just soaking it all in, as I am working with ECTO1 (well paying him) to put me a UDS together (I know I am lazy).  I have a new black Performer with 2 new lids I am thinking whether it is possible to somehow integrate the UDS into the table by removing the kettle and with some re-inforcements and slight trimming it might fit.  I see these used locally go for pretty cheap at times and the beauty of it is the table and the storage is all there.  I measured mine tonight and it appears that the space from the front panel to the rear panel is 22" and some change.  I havent measured a 55 gallon drum yet, but my googling says just under 23".  If that on the widest points or could it possible squeeze in there?  Below is a generic pic of the Performer for visual stimulation.

Also, weber ceramic handles are pretty cheap and come with the top, bottom and screw.  Anyone know if these handle will fit over a cheap bolt on handles so that I can use these as my side handles?

Thanks in advance!!

Here are the shots of a Weber lid handle under the ceramic overlay.  I wonder/wish they sold these.  I need to call weber tomorrow to order something else, so I may inquire.
