Today I have been smoking in the opening of my garage door. There is lots of cold wind and sportatic rain so I moved out of the elements & closer to the TV & beer fridge. I am using charcoal and maple splits. I have been throwing the moving quilt on when needed to keep the internal temp as stable as possible.

I am contributing this to a gathering tomorrow:

*Pulled pork sammies (from the butts & picinic) with SoFlaQuers finishing sauce

*2 brined chickens 3/lbs each (...... they'll be going on after the pork)

*And 2 Jimmy Dean naked fatties

more 2 come later

looken good!!
gotta do that at time my self, usually have the unit sitting in the garage with the smoke stack just outside, also have a fan trying to keep the smoke out of the garage.

Looks great Randy!

I have grown to hate this winter weather; it interferes with everything I love to do! Glad you found a solution to beat the weather!

I have a high, unfinished ceiling and luckly the wind is sucking the TBS out vs blowing it in. Every now & then the wind reverses and blows leaves in, but all in all I've been very lucky with the smoke.

Hawg,

I've been meaning to do a few of your mods to my old rust bucket. I need to do the wiring gromet mod ASAP, and then the monster truck tire mod next! I have some fire blanket insulation coming to make a form fitted jacket vs using the bulky moving quilt, I'll post pics of that when its complete.

I ginxed myself. Garage full of smoke when I went back out! LOL

I just opened the back door and it was all sucked out.

10:30pm ...... Just gone done pulling all 3. They pulled very easily, and I only ate every other pull

! Everything taste great, I'm very pleased. I like the butts alot better than the picnic cut. I got 2 birds and 2 fatties on. I have givin up on pics, sorry for a sh*tty ending to the thread! I owe you guys better than this, I just started way too late in the day!

It's ok Randy, keep your eye on the smoker instead of the camera and enjoy!

Well, I was unable to attend the reception. I sent the food with my wife along with buns and a bottle of store bought BBQ sauce. She warmed it up in the oven and set it out. My wife said everyone was raving about the pork .......... best part about it was that she said the bottle of BBQ sauce was not even opened! Pretty cool

Hey Fish, I had to smoke in the garage this weeked also. The food was good, but i'm not sure about smoked Minivan. It could have used a little more time as it was still a little tough.

LOL, that gives a whole new meaning of "taking it up to 165"

All in All, It worked out well for me.

Everything looked good Fish.

Unfortunatley I did not have and garage to move my smoker to and had to do the best I could with the nasty winds.
