It's all assembled but my bottom slider vents...need a extra set of hands i'll have later.   As soon as the vent controls go on it's time for it's virgin seasoning.  I left the drum lid polished metal and will keep it good and seasoned w/ linseed oil.  Starting to come together!

I had a spare drum lid and had cut the outer ring off of so i crimped up the edges and now i have a 19 inch ash pan for the bottom...will put a U bolt on that so i can grab it with the hook.  Almost forgot i have to drill a hole for the Maverick probes, I was thinking of using a 1/8 pipe nipple w/ conduit nuts.  Is that what some of you have done?

...and of course the most important piece!

i cut an 1/8" pipe coupling in half. then welded them 4 at each shelf. then drilled a small hole in the barrel in the middle of the coupling. then i welded couplings on wy shelf. so i would have a place to put them when i took them out of the barrel. you could use JB weld or Quick Steel if you don't have a welder.

happy smoken.

note the orange plugs for when they are not in use.

Mule what i decided to do was to attach to shelves to the dolly, that way i can still keep my drum portable...it fits right in the hatch back.    I'm using  cutting boards as shelves, should be pretty sweet.....i hope anyways

i like the idea. if you can still use the cutting boards after you get there. that would be even better.

happy smoken.
