Is there any reason you couldn't, or shouldn't cut up a turkey before you cook it, kind of like you would a chicken?

ye you would be fine I guess. But is it the time it's gonna take for the whole bird or you just want to smoke it in pieces??
 
Mainly size and time, I am thinking it would be a little easier to smoke in my roaster smoker if I cut it up.
