Time to use up some of last falls sale priced turkeys...   I think there are 4 more $0.69 birds in the refer...

Brined in brown sugar and salt...   Rubbed with a Costco NO SALT spice....  Smeared with peanut oil....   Smoked at 140 ish for 2 hours then 275 for the duration...

Looks tasty Dave! I have one of those hiding in the freezer, might only be a breast, but I can't recall. Going to wait a couple weeks as we just did one a few weeks ago.

Thanks for the nice comments....   It had been awhile since the last bird but it's always welcome on our table...    I'm sure the breast will be sliced up for turkey sandwiches, which is one more welcome treat for lunches...

Bride had a "considerable" say in how this bird was smoked.....    HIGH temp, rubbed in seasoning and rubbed with oil....  She wanted the skin edible and not rubbery....   Well, she was right...  skin is definitely edible and tasty...   meat is still delicious...

It does pay to listen to the better half...   always......

Dave, that turkey looks fantastic!     I am going to have to try the Costco no salt seasoning, is it something like Lawerys seasoning salt without the salt?

Thank you for posting that Dave.     I have been wanting to give Costco a try as we have a new Costco fairly close to where I live and that spice mix will hurry up my trying Costco.     I have heard their meat is excellent also.
