I had a salad the other night with cranberries in it, wishing I was really eating a Capriottis' Bobbi. (Thanksgiving dinner in a hoagie roll) Then I got to thinking, perhaps a smoked (or grilled if time is an issue) turkey burger with roughly the same ingredients would do. I found one recipe http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/turkey-burgers-with-brie-cranberries-and-fresh-rosemary/detail.aspx that looked similar to my thoughts, except I wouldn't use the cheese. My other thought would be to use stuffing from a box with some cranberries in it and mix it in the turkey burger meat. As for the wood to use, I was thinking mainly apple or cherry. Perhaps some hickory or maple to round it out. Any other suggestions? Ideas?
