Turf and Turf (Chicken and Beef) Smoke

Discussion in 'Poultry' started by duffman, Aug 14, 2016.

  1. I needed to smoke a package of chicken to shred for my Fantasy Draft Party in a few weeks. Since I could fit them all on one rack of the WSM I grabbed a beef roast to smoke for dinner tonight. The chicken is just straight up since I was running short on time. The beef had JB'S Fatboy Prime Angus Rub.
Now to sit back and wait.

Straight smoked chicken, interesting. Beef it's what's for dinner for me as well!
  4. I find when I want to pull chicken for sandwiches sometimes just slow smoked chicken is best. Some times I brine it but ran of time for this one.
  5. Finished. Chicken was on for around 3 hours. I pulled the roast after about 2 hours when it hit 129 in internal temp. Grilled up some potatoes to go with the roast.
