I got the ok last night to purchase the tsm 50 lb smoker and a commercial deep fryer, both are 220 v. They will go in the new grill center I will be building. I did a search on here and only found the 30 lb smoker from tsm. Does anyone have one or seen them in use. There doesn't seem to be very many reviews out there.

Here is a link for the smoker:  http://www.sausagemaker.com/4183450lbdigitalstainlesssteelsmoker.aspx

Made in the USA by The Sausage Maker, Inc.

That says quite a bit.....  I think you will be happy with their equipment....  They seem to build quality stuff and stand behind all their products....  I have their dehydrator, D-10, and I am very pleased with it's performance.....  When I needed help, I spoke with a person in the office....  They spoke real english....   and had immediate help for me...    They have add-on mods that have been tested and work...

When I look for a larger electric smoker, I will be purchasing it from them....

You might consider the smoke generator Todd sells on this forum....  The AMNPS and a variety of pellets...   He is a sponsor on this site as is The Sausage Maker....  click on "SPONSORS" at the top of the page and check Todd's invention out.....

I too have the D-10 dehydrator and the 15 lb stuffer. I love both of them. I emailed TSM to see if they have any reviews and other info, just waiting for a reply. I am hoping someone on here either has one or has seen them work. That's a lot off change to hope something works well.

Jim, Because it's 220v and 50 #''s capacity, I think you are looking at small restaurants and bars that are using it....  Not too many home smokers would use it...  They probably want one but running 220 etc. would be a road block...  Hopefully that's not the case and you will get some great revues.....

OK, Here is a revue..... I want one and would buy it in a heart beat if I had the bucks....    and I would run my own 220v supply....  Then I would see if the neighbors wanted to buy smoked pork roasts etc...

We are going to get a whole house backup generator so when I do that I am putting in a 200 amp service with a much larger box. That will be a perfect time to run the 220 out to the patio. I was thinking of putting a separate  220v panel in the new grill center. TSM just sent me a manual for the smoker and the lady that sent it said the sell several dozen of them a year.
