Hi all!

Just stopped by to introduce myself.  I've been smoking meat all of my life and decided to step it up a bit.  I grew up in Mississippi smoking meat on my father's barrel grill smoker.  When I moved out, I bought myself a small grill just big enough to cook a slab of ribs and possibly a half of a chicken and I've been using that ever since.  I've smoked mainly ribs and chicken but I started exploring more over the last year with venison and I even smoked my first brisket.  I recently got a new Char-broil 800 grill for Father's Day and I plan to use it on the 4th of July.  I'm hoping to get a few tips from the pros on this forum!  Thanks to you all!

to SMF!  We are so glad you joined us!

If you didn't read the Terms of Service notes.....please do.  There are a few things that everyone should know about those pesky little rules before plunging into the forums. Rule #11......"Off Site Links are not allowed here at SMF" is something new. There are other simple guidelines for all of us to remember as we interact here.

If you need any help roaming around the forums....just holler!  Happy to help out!
