Just in case someone wants to know. Smoked some salt today. Put Traeger Jr. on "smoke" setting. it stayed between 190 and 200. Never used this setting before, always used 180 or 225.
 
How'd the salt turn out? Since I have better smokers for cold smoking I probably wouldn't use the Traeger. But curious how it turned out.
 
Have not used the salt yet, never did it before but tonight I'm going to try to make some lox and it called for some regular salt and smoked salt. I will let you know in about 4 days when I get a bag of real bagles (if I can fine them)and, some cream cheese.
