Hello everyone. done the pork, done the brisket. Would like to do a 20# top round. Big piece. Cook at 350 in the oven to get to medium takes in our kitchen around 31/2 hours to 4 hours. Any thought on how to do this on the smoker.

Usually I figure out 1.5 hours per lb for meat on the smoker. Actually I normally plan for 1.75 hours per lb so I am on the safe side but this is just a guide. It all depends on the thickness, fat content, size etc. of the cut of meat. But that should be a pretty close guide. Any way you can cut it in half it would cut back the cook time for you. What temp are you looking to cook at and what temp are you looking to pull it at. When I figure 1.75 hours per lb that is cooking at 225-250 and taking it to around 200.
