I have smoked with a Brinkman charcoal smoker for years, and last year bought a Black Friday special Masterbuilt electric smoker. It's like cheating, but I am able to smoke salmon, venison, acorn squash, cheeses, or anything else that challenges me, and in any outdoor temperature. My family thinks I have a smoking problem, but they don't complain while they eat up the results! I'm looking forward to taking advantage of all the information shared here by folks more experienced than me. I've already taken note of a couple of challenges (dandelion flowers? pumpkin?) and have some new reasons to fire up the smoker!
