Elko Nv
Hello everybody ,
I live in Elko nv I work as a mechanic at a local gold mine,I really love to cook ! I enjoy making a meal friends and family say "man that was really good " there are time is been dude that really blows lets go get a pizza ! Ha ha
I have been always fascinated with the whole smoking process , I have several smokers ,recently I got a Bradley digital smoker which I really like . I have smoked some chickens that were really good but I've yet to figure out how to do the tri tip and briscut .
I have been searching the web looking at forums and gathering all the information I can so as to improve my abilities .
The couple I have checked out are not very friendly or they act like its top secret , I just want to learn that's all ! I was checking this one and everyone seems to be super friendly and willing to help a fellow smoke head out ! I am super excited to get back into it , I hurt my back and am waiting for a surgery on 9/24/12 . It's been hard to try and smoke when I barely scraping by but when I go back to work it's fire up the smokers BABY !!!!!!
I am looking forward to learning all I can and possibly help with anything I can , I am really excited I can wait till I can move with out pain and have some money so I can start smoking again !

Welcome!

I am a rookie smoker and every question I have posted has been answered on the board.  Very friendly folks around here.  Enjoy your stay and I hope your surgery goes well!

Welcome , Tony. The back thingy sucks , I hope you do OK with it ; and YES we are friendly. I agree with you on the "other" forums. several are very stuck-up and tend to look down thier noses at the BYC(back yard chef) , but having roamed around some myself , I find the knowledge on this forum is actually better than on other  sites...and no fluff.

Glad to hear your on the mend! Did you ever consider smoking by giving directions to a family member? A 2-3 hour cheese smoke maybe? Start someone young out on a life long smoking addiction? Just a thought lol!
