    Hi David!!

I never tried that with tomatoes.

What do you do with them after sealing---Fridge---Freeze???

How long do they last & what are they like after whatever you do with them?

  3. I freeze them. Normally I would blanch and peel before freezing/ This time i am trying skin on. I use them in cooking. The same as you would use canned tomatoes.

    Happy smoken.

OK---Dang-it----Thought maybe you had some way of saving a fresh tomato without ruining it. I only like tomatoes fresh, and mostly in a BLT.[IMG]

  5. If you find a way to keep them as if they were fresh let me know and we will both be rich[IMG]

    Happy smoken.

The last??? We're still waiting on our FIRST ripe tomato of the year! I foresee several batches of chow chow in our future!!!!!!!

  11. I wish I had room to store up a bunch. But [IMG]  gets in the way.

    Happy smoken.

  12. Yes it is Martin. When I first bought it I ordered 4000 bags of different sizes from Lisa. I thought that would be a life time supply. I had been using a food saver. I use to drag out the food saver. Now my Vacmaster has a home on the kitchen counter. The up front price was  up their. Now it is free after you figure the price of the bags and the amount of food I have saved

    Happy smoken.
