To everyone who uses a charcoal smoker this is the weekend to stock up on fuel!

I went to Lowes this morning and bought 4 bags of 16.6lb Kingsford blue bag for $4.24 each ($.25lb)

After loading them in the truck I hear a commercial on the radio for Home Depot.

I went to HD and bought 8 bags of 21.6lb Kingsford blue bag for $4.98lb each ($23lb).

Picked up 282lbs of fuel and figured I saved about $50!

Should last me through July hopefully!

Sale ends Monday guys and won't happen again until next Memorial Day.

Grizandliz,

You beat me to it. I was just going to post that our Home Depot had a similar sale----Two 20 pound bags of Kingsford for $9.97 (regular price $15.97). I bought two bags. I only use charcoal for my little Hibachi.

Then I stopped at "Dries" (another lumber yard/hardware store) to check their mulch prices, and I looked at their price for an 18 pound bag of Kingsford----$12.95 for one 18 pounder!!!!   Gotta be kidding me!

I purchased the 40lb bag for $8.97 here, however what I'm looking forward to is the sale on lump from Publix this week. $2 off a 10lb bag. Going to pick up a handful of them.

I haven't used Kingsford in a while, and I remember now why I switched..
